KINTSUGI HOPE FACILITATOR

Kintsugi Hope Groups are safe and supportive spaces for anyone who feels or has felt overwhelmed, providing tools for self-management in a facilitated peer mentoring style setting. A structured series of 12 weeks of content, which includes group and individual activities designed to help participants to accept themselves, to understand their value and worth, and grow towards a more resilient and hopeful future. The role of the Group Facilitator is to lead the sessions using the material available, signposting people if necessary to further help and support.

ROLE DESCRIPTION & REGISTER

Time and Location
The course will run for 6-12 weeks (depending on participants’ developmental stages) and facilitators will be expected to attend every session. Once the group is launched the commitment is anticipated to be approx. 4 hours per week, including preparation time for the duration of the course.

What we’re looking for
An active member of Lifecentral Church community with a growing relationship with Jesus.
An understanding of mental wellbeing and previous experience of small group leadership.
Have the time, emotional capacity and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries in order to lead healthy groups.
Facilitate meetings, monitoring group health for its duration, and promoting participation amongst members.
A commitment to engage in leadership development opportunities.
A clear, enhanced DBS.

Anything else:
Completion of Kintsugi Hope group leader training course and approval by the Kintsugi National organisation prior to group facilitation.
Support will be provided to include team meetings and opportunities to discuss progress, capacity and any developmental needs.
