The Elevate Project seeks to support families and individuals who have been re-housed or have faced a family crisis which has left them without adequate furniture. We accept second hand furniture that is in good condition from a variety of sources, store it in the Shenstone Building and donate it to families who are referred to us from a variety of external organisations.
Time and Location
Various times, depending on availability, but normally Monday afternoon, Wednesday morning or Thursday. You would not be expected to be at all sessions and session are flexible. Delivering and collecting furniture from and to The Shenstone Building behind the main church.
What we’re looking for
Physically strong
Able to work in co-operation with other people
Ability to load a van with furniture in the most efficient and secure way
Capable of carrying furniture up and down stairs and through tight spaces
Anything else:
Our rotas are adhoc based on your availability and the needs of the project for collection and/or delivery of furniture.
An added advantage would be an experienced Driver, clean licence and experience driving a Long Wheel Base Van or similar.
