Who's Who...

Literally hundreds of people are involved in making church happen here at Lifecentral Church. The vast majority are volunteers who give their time and talents to lead and support many of the diverse ministries.

BIO: LEON EVANS, LEAD PASTOR

Leon is the Lead pastor of Lifecentral Church, a multi-site church based in Halesowen, just outside Birmingham, UK. The church is now in several locations including a church in Durres, Albania. Leon is also part of Elim’s regional team helping encourage other churches across the area. He is also one of founders of the Further Faster Network (http://www.furtherfaster.network/), helping churches to grow by reaching people currently not engaged with church. His background is in worship leading and the creative arts having led worship at events like Spring Harvest, New Horizon, and other events in the UK and overseas.

Over the past almost 30 years he has invested in leadership development with a passion for the local church and mission. He first went to the Balkans in 1990 and has been going back every year since especially Bulgaria and Albania where he has helped establish youth events and leadership development programmes. Leon founded and chairs a youth charity called Phase Trust (https://phasetrust.org.uk/), now one of the biggest providers of Youth work in the region, that specialise in working with marginalised young people bringing them hope and support. He is married to Allison and they have 2 grown-up sons and a granddaughter! He enjoys traveling, movies, music, good food and sport.

BIO: ALLISON EVANS, ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Allison has been part of Lifecentral Church since 1992 and has served as an elder since 2008. Allison joined the staff team at Lifecentral to work alongside Leon in September 2021. Prior to that Allison, who is a registered nurse and qualified counsellor, worked as a lecturer in higher education. She has a heart for people and has been involved in the provision and oversight of pastoral care for many years. Allison has a passion for supporting and equipping people to care for others locally and overseas with a special interest in supporting children with additional needs and their families. She has led many teams working with volunteers providing health, social and spiritual care to people living in poverty, including ministry in South Africa, Zambia and Guatemala.
