EQUIP HOST HOMES

Our Equip Gap Year Programme is one of the best things we do at Lifecentral Church, and we need your help!

We’re looking for welcoming houses that our students can call home, for some or all of the next academic year. If you live under 40 minutes away from the Lifecentral Church Halesowen by walking or public transport and have a spare room, then we’d love to hear from you. The students will arrive in Sept 2024 and stay until July 2025 (returning home for Christmas and Easter).

We will help to cover the living and food costs and offer staff support throughout the year to deal with any tricky issues. Having an Equip student live in your house is a brilliant way to invest in the next generation of leaders and to help them discover their gifts and calling.

"With good support from Lifecentral staff it was a real privilege to ‘do life’ together with a Lifecentral Equip student for almost a year. It was an encouraging journey for both of us as we travelled through the many highs, (and a few lows) of daily life, praying for each other and sometimes laughing until we cried. It was a blessed time - she also made a mean chow mein... and her cakes were to die for!!!!!!"
"I was very nervous about hosting an equipper and opening up our family and lives to someone we hadn’t yet met, but I can honestly say it was an incredible experience, so much so we did it twice! Our equippers very quickly felt like family and slotted in perfectly but both in different ways. Its amazing to see the growth that takes place over the year, both in their faith and service at church but also in their confidence and independence. Its like the joy of parenting without the sleepless nights and dirty nappies! Our own kids loved it too and quickly adapted to another person in the house. If you are thinking about it definitely go for it - it’s an enriching and life enhancing experience not to be missed."
